Hardy Frame® Purpose

The purpose of Hardy Frame® products is to resist in-plane lateral loads resulting from wind or earthquakes.  The product may be used to replace field built plywood or OSB shear walls, but is most commonly used in narrow wall sections that would otherwise require structural steel columns or moment frames.
