Hardy Frame® Post

The Hardy Frame® Post is a 3-½" x 3-½" square tube that connects to Panels and Brace Frames on upper floors with a 7/8" diameter all thread. The purpose of the Post is to transfer tension and compression loads from the base of Panels or Frames located on the floor above. Posts may be installed on a wood mudsill or on a wood floor system provided the vertical load being applied to the member below does not exceed that materials allowable compression value. When locating Posts at a first floor slab condition the double nut installation is recommended to prevent excessive crushing into the mudsill below.
