Bolt Brace System

The Hardy Frame® Bolt Brace (HFBB) is designed for use with Panel hold down bolts. The Bolt Brace is a strap that attaches to the embed end of the hold down bolts at the plate washer and double nut, with the purpose of preventing bolt sway when the concrete is poured. Additionally, there are holes provided in the Bolt Brace, which align with holes in the Template located above at the form board. These holes allow Hardy Frame® T-Rods (HFTR) to be inserted and used to position the bottom of the bolts in the line of the footing. Once positioned, the T-Rod is pushed into the soil at the bottom of the footing to prevent movement during the concrete pour. After the concrete is placed, remove the T-Rod, leaving the hold down bolts positioned perfectly in the footing.
